MyTrips: clear statistics for your MyToyota trips
For a while now, instead of getting easier to use, the MyToyota app has kept getting harder. Trip statistics are less and less visible – it recently stopped showing fuel economy under each trip’s thumbnail – tracking fuel consumption keeps getting harder, finding an older trip is a nightmare, and comparing one month with another isn’t possible at all.
So I came up with an app that reads trips exported straight from MyToyota and turns them into clear statistics.

What it shows
- a monthly overview: distance driven and average fuel consumption for each month,
- your best and worst trips,
- an estimated fuel cost at the price per litre you enter,
- a place search – to find a trip from a specific address.
The most interesting part, in my opinion, is driving patterns – your driving profile: how long your most frequent trips are, which days of the week you drive most, and what time of day you usually set off.
Your data stays on your phone
You might be thinking: what a sneaky way to harvest ultra-sensitive data. It isn’t. The app works 100% offline: there’s no server and no ads, and the data on your phone stays on your phone. Clear the app’s data and everything is gone.
MyTrips will also stay free, as it’s a hobby project. All my apps are free and ad-free, and they’ll stay that way.
Moving trips over from MyToyota
MyToyota exports trips to an XLSX file, which MyTrips reads. The video shows it step by step: exporting trips from MyToyota to MyTrips (in Polish, but the options are easy to follow).
Closed testing
I’m still adding features I was missing and fixing bugs, so I’d be glad to hear what other drivers think. For now MyTrips is Android-only and in closed testing, so you need to be on the list of testers to download it. If you’d like to join, get in touch and include the Gmail address of your Google account.
